Trinidad & Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago (T&T)'s government agreed to adopt the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) as the country's final court of appeal in early May, forgoing its colonial link to the UK's Privy Council (JCPC). T&T has been under pressure from other Caribbean countries to make this move for quite some time, and we believe it marks an important step towards greater regional cooperation and institution building.
