February retail sales growth came in at 7.6% y-o-y - well above both market expectations and the previous month's growth at 4.8% y-o-y and 4.4% respectively. While sales growth was aided in part by the extra day of shopping in February due to the leap year, seasonally adjusted data still shows a substantial 3.9% y-o-y expansion in retail, up from the 3.5% average growth recorded in 2011.
