Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff visited Cuba in late January to boost political and economic ties between the two countries. Rousseff emphasized the country's commitment to helping Cuba's economic development, including US$400mn in credits for Cuba to buy Brazilian food, as well as US$200mn under a program to improve Cuban agriculture.
