Election Getting Too Close To Call

BMI View: El Salvador's March 2012 legislative elections have become too close to call. We expect the ruling Frente Farabundo Marti para la Liberacion Nacional (FMLN)'s once significant lead to continue deteriorating in the face of a worsening security situation and a new 'residential voting' programme, which will benefit the opposition. However, whether this will be enough to see the FMLN lose is still uncertain.
