Macroeconomic Forecast Honduras

October 2011 | Macroeconomic Forecasts

Honduras's economic activity index (IMAE) slowed to 5.14% y-o-y in seasonally adjusted terms in July 2011, following a period of steady improvement in H111. Data for the month of July show the country's financial services and transport and communications sectors as the best performing, meanwhile the still contracting mining and construction sectors are still weighing on activity. This slowdown in economic activity is in line with our real GDP growth forecast of 3.1% for 2011, and we are happy to stick with this for now.
