Election 2011: Initial Thoughts - Policy Adjustment, No Devaluation

As Argentine President Cristina Fernández confirmed expectations with a resounding victory in the October 23 presidential election, our initial thoughts are for policy adjustment in her second term. At this early stage we believe the new government will seek a medium-to long term solution to the country's inflationary woes without resorting to a currency devaluation.
