Central America And The Caribbean: The Violence Spreads
October 2011 | Political Risk AnalysisAs drug trafficking and violence continue to rise in Central America, we believe that the phenomenon will spread from the 'northern-triangle' region towards both the south and up into the Caribbean. While countries such as Barbados and Costa Rica benefit from stronger than average institutional strength, the overall poor economic health and weak armed forces of the region do not bode well for the future.
