October 2011 | Ratings UpdateBusiness leaders from the province of Santiago called on the Dominican Republic's President Leonel Fernández to revamp the country's Labour Code. Earlier in September the Dominican Republic's employer association (Copardom) had voiced similar concerns, lamenting that the Labour Code has failed to adapt to the economic and productive developments experienced by the country since 1992, when the code was originally signed into law.
