On September 28, Argentine authorities successfully recovered and seized 50kgs of cocaine, and arrested an alleged narco-trafficking gang leader, a Mexican national, Luis Rafael Ulibarri, believed to be a member of Los Zetas. This occurred after six simultaneous raids in the provincial capital of Buenos Aires, La Plata, and in several other greater Buenos Aires neighbourhoods. Not only should this development serve to boost Argentina's standing in the fight against narco-trafficking in the region it could also serve to improve relations with other countries in the region fighting the illicit drugs
