Good Reason For Supplier Optimism

While eroding competitiveness and fears of potential overcapacity are making carmakers hesitant about making new investments in Brazil, BMI points out that auto parts suppliers continue to be attracted to the country. Italy's Magneto Marelli and US-based Nexteer Automotive are the latest suppliers to have revealed plans to increase their presence in the country, where BMI expects vehicle production to grow 40% between 2011 and 2015.
