Growth To Remain Strong Under Humala

BMI View: Private consumption will remain the key driver of growth in Peru, but investment is set to bounce back now that President Ollanta Humala has dispelled most of the policy uncertainty surrounding his victory. We therefore expect an uptick in both foreign and domestic investments inflows to continue supporting real GDP growth over the medium-term, which we see at 6.2% in 2011 and a solid 4.9% 2012.
