External Account Stability Going Forward

While we expect the Honduras' current account to remain in deficit in the coming years, posting a US$11.7mn deficit in Q111, we believe recent political developments could provide a significant boost to both capital transfers and investment flows, further boosting Q111's US$287.7mn capital and financial account surplus, as long as foreign investors begin to see an improvement in the nation's stability.
