New Constitution No Cure For Crisis

The 15-month consultation process between the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Turks and Caicos Islands has finally culminated in a new constitution for the British territory. However, elections are highly unlikely to be held before mid-2012 given the lack of structural political reform, while public anger towards appointed Governor Gordon Weatherell's administration will likely continue.
