External Accounts Stability To Persist

Costa Rica's balance of payments accounts should remain on a stable footing over the next few years, despite our view that GDP growth rates are set to moderate. Although the country's strengthening growth outlook will see the trade surplus dip further into the red, its improving business environment and China's increasing presence should keep inflows into the financial account well-anchored.
