May 2011 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: Honduras' index of economic activity (IMAE) registered another month of solid growth, rising by 3.9% y-o-y following increases of 7.4% and 3.7% in November and December, respectively. However, the considerable slowdown from the faster rate of expansion recorded in mid-to-late 2010 underpins our view that Honduras' economic performance in 2011 will be relatively sluggish, and as such we are forecasting real GDP growth of just 3.1%.
