Aid Inflows To Support Near-Term Growth
March 2011 | Economic AnalysisMassive aid inflows combined with ongoing reconstruction efforts should allow Haiti to enjoy modest economic expansion in the medium term. However, aid is likely to taper off over the medium term and with private investment and domestic consumption unable to fill the ga, we expect growth to stagnate in 2013 and 2014 before the economy returns to a stable, albeit slow, long-run growth rate.
