BMI View: Chile's unemployment rate dropped to 8.6% in the three months to December, continuing the trend which has seen joblessness fall steadily since the peak of 10.8% recorded in July and August. With the economy having officially exited recession in Q309, and with economic activity set to pick up over the coming months, we believe that unemployment will drop steadily over the course of this year.
